1.  The third annual USPTA Christian fellowship meeting will be held September 13-18, 2001 at Marco Island, Florida.  This meeting establishes a spiritual element to coaching tennis with the highest level of coaches and sets an example for coaches around the world.  We have seen growth take place in the USPTA fellowship from the first year with 6 in attendance to over 34 last year.  4 regional divisions are also looking at starting fellowship meeting during their annual conventions. Larry Lewi, a USPTA coach located in Naples, FL. will be the local coordinator.  Fernando Valasco will also act as coordinator.The exact date and time for the fellowship meeting has not been determined.  Please pray as we are looking for a speaker now.

2.  The second consecutive fellowship meeting for coaches took place at the USPTA World Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, USA on September 28 and 29, 2000. The Sept. 28th meeting which 16 coaches attended was a breakfast meeting for the purpose of meeting each other and developing friendships. 16 coaches attended  The Sept. 29 had 18 coaches and included two guest speakers Joe Jackson, a former pro football player gave an inspiring and life changing message.  Charl Marais also gave his testimony of a being saved from death during a robbery, and the changes this has brought on his life.  Charl is the Chief Executive Officer of Tennis Coaches of South Africa, which is the national body of coaching.

The first annual meeting will be held at the Industry Hills Sheraton Hotel on Sunday March 4, 2001 from 7-8am.  Flyers will be posted in the front foyer for the meeting room.



USPTA Intermountain Division Fellowship:

A first annual fellowship meeting was held at the division convention at Boulder, Co., the week of Feb. 22-25, 2001.  Two partcipatants attended.


USPTA Middle States Division Fellowship:

A first annual fellowship meeting will be held March 2-4, 2001 during the divisional conference in at Hershey, PA.  No meeting place or time has been forwarded to annouce.  Please contact organizer directly. Details as we receive them.


USPTA Texas Division Fellowship:

The USPTA Texas Convention was held February 4, 2001 at the Hilton Lakes DFW Executive Center in Grapevine, Texas.    There was a Devotional on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 7:15 am  to 8:00 am.  10 coaches attended and meetings are being planned for the future.  This devotional breakfast was started in the early 1980's.
