DAILY VERSE: BEWARE OF COVETOUSNESS: FOR A MAN'S LIFE CONSISTS NOT IN THE ABUNDANCE OF THE THINGS WHICH HE POSSESSES. - LUKE 12:15
---------------------------------------------------
DAILY QUOTE: Count your blessings, name them two by two, count your blessings, name them four by four, count your blessings, name them by the score (twenty) and it will surprise you there are millions more.
------------------------------------------------
STORY OF THE DAY: Get rid of the idea that 'more is always better!'

America has less than six per cent of the world's population, but over 50 percent of the world's wealth. Now, if more is better, we ought to be the happiest humans on the planet. The desire to have more can become insatiable.

So what is the answer to covetousness? Two things: (1)Develop a sense of gratitude for what you already have. (2) When the 'more is better' feeling hits you, remind yourself that it doesn't work, because the same mindset that wants more now will want even more later.
---------------------------------------------
Everywhere at the US Open you see materialism. Shops selling clothing for unbelievable prices. Restaurants selling small cookies for $3.50 USD. Official transport for players being the most expensive 'Lexus' autos. Prize money numbers in the tens of millions of dollars. As I often travel to countries where people live on less than $1 a day, I can never forget the importance of life’s real necessities, food, water and shelter.- Pastor Bob Kraft
