DAILY VERSE: WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME HAS REALLY SERVED TO ADVANCE THE GOSPEL. - PHILIPPIANS 1:12
------------------------------
DAILY QUOTE: By God's grace you can always change your perspective!
------------------------------
STORY OF THE DAY: Because Paul was forced to spend all but seven years of his ministry in prison, we get to read in the Bible his life-changing epistles - 2000 years later. What a legacy! When you begin to look for the advantages in your adversities - and they are there – you are on your way to becoming a winner.
Time Magazine did a feature on people who had lost their jobs at least three times because of plant closings. Psychologists expected them to be discouraged, but they weren't; they were surprisingly optimistic. Their experience had actually given them an advantage. Because they had lost a job twice before and found a new one, they were actually able to handle being unemployed better than those who had had only one job and lost it. Think about that!
Here are three things you get to know in the bad times, that you never discover in the good ones: (1) Nothing takes God by surprise. Listen: "I make known the end from the beginning . . . my purpose will stand and I will do all that I please" (Isaiah 46:10). (2) He is still in control, even when things seem out of control. Listen again: "But let all those that put their trust in God rejoice: because God defends them" (Psalm 5:11). (3) He always makes things work to our advantage.
Paul wrote, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him" (Romans 8:2 . What more could you ask?

I am on my way home to Hong Kong via Korea. I am writing this from JFK airport in NYC and then hopefully it will be send to your automatically as I travel via the new email sending program that I use. The Champions and the finalists are on their way today to the next tournament. Everyone goes in a different direction. The men and women’s tour generally have 3 to 4 tournaments each week in a different location. I know players are talking about Bali, Indonesia; Calcutta, India; Paris, France; Bangkok, Thailand; Shanghai, China. Interesting but difficult lifestyle. – Pastor Bob Kraft
