DAILY VERSE: A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. – Luke 12:15
---------------------------------------------------
DAILY QUOTE: We know how to make a living - but not everyone knows how to live.
-------------------------------------------------
STORY OF THE DAY: In the 1920s, the world’s most successful men met in the Edgewater Hotel in Chicago. Present were the presidents of America's largest steel company, utility company and gas company; also the presidents of the New York Stock Exchange and the Bank of International Settlements. Together these were the faces of power and success. The ones we all want to be like!
But twenty-five years later, the story was so different. The president of America's greatest utility company, Samuel Insull, had died penniless in a foreign country as a fugitive from justice. The president of the largest independent steel company, Charles Schwab, had lived his last years on borrowed money and died bankrupt. The president of the largest Gas company, Howard Hopson, went totally insane and the president of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was released from Alcatraz to go home and die. Finally, the president of the Bank of International Settlements, Leon Fraser, committed suicide.
Jesus told us, life is not built on things, its built on relationships and the first relationship you need is with God. Do you have one today?

Spent my time equally between the Players Lounge and outside matches. When I am on the courts players that I advise know that I am there to encourage and pray for them. I also watch what they do on the court both with strokes and body language and then know how to discuss with them how to handle on and off court situations. Generally this takes watching three to four matches to see patterns of behavior. I also try and look at both easy matches for the players and the tough opponents. Ended my day with some misunderstandings between several people, but God is a peacemaker and peace is restored. - Pastor Bob Kraft
