Being the best, God's best, or your best, what does it all mean.
As tennis players we want to win, to receive the winners prize. How often have you heard, "Try your best and don't give up."
You should do everything in your power to achieve your goal. However a gap or space will always exist with what you can do and what God can do. To the non-believer they call it fate, luck or hard work, that pushes you over the edge to the prize. To be the best at anything requires hard work and being in the right place at the right time. This is true. As a Christian we need to also rely upon God to provide for our needs and to fill the gaps that we are not capable of meeting.
When you see no way to reach your goal, when it all seems impossible, this is exactly the time that you can call upon God. He knows your level of strength and he has promised to provide you with a way to see you through. Don't give up, but get up and walk with God.
Jesus Christ knows your weaknesses and strengths and in fact has shared them with us. He knows them all. He will give you that peace when your know no peace or strength to carry on. Exchange Christ's strength for your strength. And watch Him transform you into something beyond what you can even imagine.
You want to be the best in the world, God may or may not give you this, but your can rest assured that He has promised in the Bible to make you a conqueror in life and much more through Jesus Christ.
