Love to Serve News
April 1, 1999
I would like to share with you two messages of how this ministry,
through your prayers and support has touched someone with a need in a different
location. The stories you are about to read shows how God hears your prayer,
answers your prayer and then moves the heart of others to respond.
Notice that God moved among several people, totally unaware of each other's
communication with this ministry, and in several different locations in
the world. They all have one thing in common. They were
moved by God to contact us in Hong Kong and to post a listing in our guestbook.
I have seen God's hand move many times in the affairs of mankind, but I
must admit I was amazed at the timing of the first story. Even if
I wanted to assist all of the people below I could not as I did not know
any others in their cities or locations. Perhaps this will help you
believe that God knows YOU and where you live.
Recently we have had new members join from South Africa. I
am moved as I watch a music video filmed in South Africa and I listen to
the lyrics of the title song sung in English, Zulu, Afrikaans, and Spanish.
Can you imagine how many tennis players in the world love Jesus Christ
and are waiting to hear from others? Shut you eyes and imagine many
cultures and languages singing the following:
"Though we are many, we are one body, we are
one body in Christ."
-
January 27, 1999 we received an email from a tennis coach in South Africa
asking if we would contact other coaches in his country. After discussing
this through email, from Hong Kong to South Africa, we decided to issue
invitations for coaches there to join this ministry. We received
many responses.
-
February 18 (6:25PM) - Mark Billison, a coach from South Africa is moving
to Philadelphia, USA for a summer coaching position. He is also interested
in finding a full time position.
-
February 19 (11:00PM) - Dee Buysse, a club player, joins as a
new member. She is from Philadelphia, USA and mentions in our web
page guest book that her club is looking for a new pro and she will gladly
send/forward any resumes to the appropriate person.
-
February 20 (3:24PM) - Steve Robinson, a coach from South Africa and
recently moved to Philadelphia, joins as a member and mentions his adjustment
to a coaching position and his new home.
The second story is from Lansing, Michigan, USA.
-
January 26, 1999 - Joshua Hakes, a high school assistant coach from
Lansing emails us asking if we know of a club coach in his city as he wishes
to start a Christian tennis league. We respond to his request and
mention that the nearest coach we know of is in another state many hours
from his city. We suggest that he post a notice in our guest book,
which he does.
-
March 4, 1999 - Matthew Haley, a club professional from Lansing, Michigan,
USA, joins as a member and signs our guest book.
The two are linked together and now they know about each other.
The best thing of all is that you can read the stories above for yourself
by going to our guestbook.
If these stories have touched you, then you also can list your name,
city and location and see God move. You may be surprised to find
another brother or sister in your location.
How good, how pleasant
it is, for brothers to live in unity, and how good it is for the blessings
God gives when we are in unity.
Blessings,
Rev. Bob Kraft
